Valerie has appeared in New York City at Feinstein’s at the Regency, the famed Oak Room at the Algonquin, The Metropolitan Room, Helen’s Hideaway and Mama Rose, followed by engagements at the Sheldon Center in St. Louis, the Music Conservatory of Westchester and so many others. She was a featured performer at Carnegie Hall’s recital room, Weill Hall, and performs as a special guest with top cabaret stars such as Andrea Marcovicci and KT Sullivan. She has appeared in many off-Broadway productions and toured with Diana Rigg in the pre-Broadway tour of the musical Collette. Valerie’s salute to the Music of Marvin Hamlisch is a warm, funny, elegant and sophisticated evening dedicated to the famed composer’s past and present triumphs. Filled with stories of her travels with him on the road as a symphony vocalist, as well as tales of the huge influence he has had on her singing career, Valerie shines the spotlight on the man responsible for some of the best-loved songs of his generation. From "The Way We Were" to the Pulitzer Prize winning score for A Chorus Line, the evening is filled with memorable music that clearly demonstrates why both Valerie and Marvin Hamlisch are “singular sensations”.
