JAY AND THE AMERICANS, started by four teenage boys in Sandy Deanne’s basement in 1961, is one of the lasting success stories in Rock ‘N Roll history. Few bands have reached their musical heights. With a staggering 19 charted hits and nine Top 40 records from the early 1960s all the way into the 1970s, they remain one of the few artists to consistently remain at the top the charts, creating a multi-generational fanbase that has been broadened dramatically by their hits’ continued prominence in modern day movies, TV shows and commercials. Their biggest hit, “Come a Little Bit Closer,” was featured in Guardians of the Galaxy and boasts over 190,000,000 streams on Spotify, while beloved Top 10 Hits like “This Magic Moment,” “Cara Mia,” “Some Enchanted Evening," "Let's Lock the Door (and Throw Away the Key)," and "Walkin' in the Rain" still hold a special place in the hearts of legions of fans to this day.

All of these hits and more are on tap for an entertaining concert filled with great songs and fascinating stories only Jay and the Americans can tell - including their pivotal role in helping to launch the careers of artists such as Neil Diamond, Steely Dan and Joan Jett. The group features original members Sandy Deanne and Marty Sanders joined by Darren Dowler (formerly of The Lettermen and Paul Revere & the Raiders) and Jay Reincke, their powerhouse lead singer for the last 18 years, who brings the band’s iconic sound to life with his remarkable voice and dynamic stage presence. Jay and the Americans are one of the few artists of the era that still boasts 2 original members.

The group’s 26/27 tour will be called the “Only in America Tour” and features a salute to soldiers, veterans and first responders – all-American content that will resonate strongly in the heartland and unite audiences across the U.S.A. with the unforgettable hits and smooth harmonies of Jay and the Americans.
